Balance is key, not perfection.
Voltaire had it down pat- "Don't let perfect be the enemy of the good."⚖️
With that in mind I wanted to give you a little insight into how I work with clients.
- When I write a sleep plan for clients I will generally give you all the information to help your child sleep, so the ultimate set up, routine, diet and optimal settling method. However, I’m also a mum of 3 and I know that what looks great on paper, is not always so good in the wild… I mean home. When we have a call, I like to talk through the logistics of how we can make the sleep plan work for your home.
- My favourite support package is the ‘Sound Sleep Package’ why? Because I can support you along the way, each day, each nap, each bedtime if needed. This means that you get so much information and support along the way, little titbits and adjustments to the routine depending on how your child is responding is invaluable.
- I am here to support YOU! Yes I have internal jumps for joy when your child nails a nap or bedtime, but more than that, when YOU the parent feel confident and empowered supporting your child - ooft it hits differently 🙌🏼
- If something isn’t working for you, you have a question or want to clarify something that’s what I’m here for! Part of my role is to trouble-shoot with you, helping come up with a solution that suits your family.
- I love it when clients have a planned event during our support time, why? Because that’s life right :) Better you have support (me) and learn how to rectify/ make up for lost sleep then have a perfect sleeping child but never want to go to lunches or coffee date because of missed naps! It’s all about balancing a great sleep routine with… well LIFE!
- I will always be honest. Sometimes you might not love what I’m saying, but just like any coach, my job is to keep you moving towards your goal, but I will always endeavour to do that in the most supportive way possible.
I always tell clients they will likely be sick of hearing from me by the end of the sleep training process. Unlike many consultants, I like to make use of messaging as a form of support. I like that messaging gives more real time support to my clients and allows us to troubleshoot situations as they are happening (where possible). Think of me as your best friend who just happens to know more about sleep 💤 than you do.
You might not miss me when I’m gone, but I’ll miss you 😢
