Personalised Approach

I will always recommend a sleep training method that aligns with your family values and parenting style. This is why filling out the intake form with as much detail as possible is crucial—it helps me understand your family’s needs and preferences.

Remember, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. Together, we’ll find the approach that works best for your family, ensuring that everyone gets the rest they need.

ABSOLUTELY! Simply put, no one is in a good mood when they are sleep deprived.

Sleep is crucial for your child's overall well-being and behaviour. When children don’t get enough rest, it can lead to increased irritability, tantrums, and difficulty concentrating. Good sleep habits are essential for emotional regulation, cognitive function, and physical health. Ensuring your child gets adequate, quality sleep can make a significant difference in their daily mood and behaviour, making for a happier, healthier household.

And let’s not forget about us parents! Adequate sleep is just as important for us. When we’re well-rested, we’re more patient, focused, and better equipped to handle the challenges of parenting. Prioritising sleep for the whole family means everyone can function at their best and enjoy more harmonious, joyful days together.

Choosing the right sleep training method can feel daunting, but rest assured, I'm here to guide you through the process.

I will always make a recommendation based on what I believe would best suit both your family and your child. It's important to note that sometimes what a parent thinks is best for the child may not actually suit what works best for the child. Therefore, we may need to discuss and adjust our approach accordingly.

Ultimately, the best method is the one you will be consistent with. Consistency is key when it comes to sleep training, so it's essential to choose an approach that aligns with your parenting style, values, and comfort level. Together, we'll find the method that works best for your family, ensuring a smoother and more successful sleep training journey.

When your child is unwell, it's understandably difficult to know if and when you should continue working on sleep.

If your child has a high temperature, displays signs of breathing difficulties (such as shallow or rapid breathing), or experiences flare-ups of pre-existing conditions that your GP has advised as contraindications to sleep training, it's not advisable to continue sleep training during this period. In these circumstances, it's best to pause your support time and resume sleep training when you feel your child is well enough.

During mild illnesses like common colds (without fever), teething discomfort, etc., it's generally safe to continue working on sleep. In fact, sometimes rest is beneficial for recovery, and addressing sleep issues can help alleviate symptoms associated with these conditions.

Ultimately, the decision of whether to continue sleep training during illness is up to you as a parent. Delaying sleep training due to illness may prolong the process- and thats ok- the health and safety of your child always come first. If you choose to wait until your child is feeling better to resume sleep training, rest assured that we can pick up where we left off once they're ready.

There's a common misconception that a child will simply sleep when they are tired; however, as every parent of a child with sleep issues will attest, this simply isn’t true. Sleep isn’t just as simple as being tired; there are many other factors that affect sleep, such as:

To ensure the sleep training process is as seamless as possible, I take a holistic approach, addressing all aspects of sleep. From environmental factors to bedtime routines, nutrition, and emotional well-being, I aim to create a comprehensive plan tailored to your child’s specific needs. Often, people say, “We tried sleep training, it didn’t work!” This is because not all contributing factors were addressed.

By identifying and addressing these contributing factors in a holistic manner, we can create an effective sleep plan that considers all aspects of your child’s well-being, increasing the likelihood of success and improving overall sleep quality for the whole family.

Nope! I'm a twin mama myself, and I'm passionate about supporting families with multiples.

As a sleep consultant, I understand that supporting families with twins requires extra effort and attention. However, as a fellow parent of multiples, I know firsthand the financial challenges that come with raising twins. That's why I've made the decision not to impose extra costs for sleep packages for multiples.

My goal is to provide affordable and accessible support to all families, regardless of the number of children they have. So rest assured, there are no additional charges for twins when you work with me.

What Age Do You Work With?

I provide sleep support services for families at various stages of their parenting journey, from before the birth of their child right up to their 5th birthday.

For Expecting Parents:

Before your baby arrives, I offer prenatal consultations to help you prepare for the sleep challenges that may arise once your little one is here. We can discuss newborn sleep expectations, creating a sleep-friendly environment, and establishing healthy sleep habits from the start.

For Newborns to Toddlers:

Once your baby is born, I offer support for newborn sleep issues, such as establishing a feeding and sleep routine, navigating night wakings, and promoting healthy sleep patterns. I continue to work with families as their babies grow into toddlers, addressing common sleep challenges such as nap transitions, bedtime battles, and night waking.

Up to 5th Birthday:

My services extend up to the 5th birthday, as sleep issues can persist beyond the toddler years. Whether you're dealing with sleep regressions, potty training disruptions, or behavioural sleep challenges, I'm here to provide guidance and support to help your child—and your family—get the rest they need.

Older Children:

If your child is older than 5 and you're still struggling with sleep issues, please don't hesitate to contact me. While my primary focus is on newborns to toddlers, I can offer advice and recommendations for older children or refer you to resources that may better suit your needs.

My goal is to support families at every stage of their parenting journey, ensuring that everyone gets the rest they need for optimal health and well-being.

NOPE and NOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Let me preface this by saying I have personally experienced pretty much every form of feeding: formula, breastfeeding, mixed feeding, and exclusively pumping. I understand the struggles, anxiety, and fear of judgement that can come with whichever way you choose or are able to feed your baby.

I promise you, formula is not going to 'make' your child sleep any 'better' than breastfeeding. Feeding does affect sleep, but offering formula isn’t required unless that’s what you want to do.

The key is finding a feeding routine that works for you and your baby. Whether you breastfeed, formula feed, or use a combination of both, the focus should be on ensuring your baby is well-fed and happy. Sleep improvements come from consistent sleep routines and good sleep habits, not from the type of milk your baby consumes.

Remember, the best choice is the one that works for your family and keeps everyone healthy and happy.
